Orbbec Astra

LUMOplay requires a camera or touchscreen to track motion. 

The Orbbec Astra camera works well in darkness, low light and in most other lighting conditions except direct sunlight.

This camera is also ideal for systems using laser projectors or video walls over 4000 lumens, where the camera is facing the projected image.

Don't Get The Wrong Model

Orbbec makes several cameras that have similar names. Do not get the AstraS or the Astra Pro. Make sure the camera you purchase is simply called 'Orbbec Astra'.

Requires Windows 10.

If you are using the Orbbec Astra with a USB extension cable, it must be powered. You can find links to powered USB extension cables in our equipment shopping list section. 

Placement  Recommendations - Camera facing the floor or wall

For the most accurate tracking, we recommend mounting the camera between 3m (10') and 3.5m (12') from the wall or floor.

Placement  Recommendations - Camera facing the players

Place the camera no higher than 7' from the floor, above the display, for best performance. Orbbec Astra cameras cameras have a range of 0.6m (2') - 8m (26').
