Using multiple projectors or extended displays

You can use LUMOplay with multiple projectors or extended flatscreen or LED displays, provided you are using a computer that supports multiple displkay outputs. We also recommend using hardware or software that will support edge blending (if you're using projectors).

Display size

If your display area is over 4.5m (approx. 15') wide / long, and you are using cameras to make the display interactive, you may need to use multiple cameras.

Library apps

Many of the effect apps in our library can be used at any size or orientation, but you will need to test this. Most games will not look good in a display that is not a 16:9 / 16:10 orientation. 

Making custom content

If you plan to use Motion Maker to create a custom app for an extended display:

  1. Make sure your display is connected to your extended display while you're designing your app
  2. Calibrate LUMOplay software before you start creating so you can test it on the final custom display size.

You can also design custom sized interactive display content using the LUMOplay SDK.

Hardware requirements

A project that involves more than one display will have higher hardware requirements.

We're a small team operating at break-even, and our priority if keeping our price low for our core community of schools, not-for-profits, and health care providers. This means that we can't buy or test test hardware for large scale site-specific projects, and we can't produce tutorials or provide assistance for projects that perform edge blending or mapping with 3rd part software.

It is possible to use LUMOplay in large scale installations, but you will need to troubleshoot the hardware.

If you have a paid license, we will help remotely calibrate installations with more than one camera. You just need to contact us and schedule a calibration at least a week in advance.
