The Kinect for Xbox One is still the best camera for skeletal tracking experiences. This is because the Kinect SDK includes skeletal tracking, and LUMOplay supports the entire Kinect SDK.
Other 3D cameras charge for their skeletal tracking solutions, and their solutions are locked to physical cameras, which means they are more difficult to roll out at scale.
We can be hired to produce custom apps using 3rd party skeletal tracking SDKs, but we cannot add apps using third party skeletal SDKs to our platform at this time.
Request skeletal tracking SDK support for LUMOplay
You can go to this site and request that skeletal tracking be provided with the RealSense SDK so companies like LUMOplay can support skeletal tracking on Intel's cameras. https://support.intelrealsense.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
You can go to this site to request the same for Orbbec's cameras. https://orbbec3d.com/contact/
Don't worry - it's coming...
As a company with strong relationships with a lot of camera manufacturers, we know that a number of cameras will be released within the next two years by various manufacturers which will have the option to provide a cost-free skeletal SDK, as well as access to training sets and ai training models to develop new types of skeletal training (ie: top down).
LUMOplay is committed to working with these companies to ensure that their cameras are chosen for installations where skeletal training is required.
