How to Resolve Error 2x00004000 with RealSense D400 Cameras

If your LUMOplay installation crashes when using the Intel RealSense D415, D435, or D435i camera with a 2x00004000 error code you can resolve the issue fairly simply by installing the updated Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 runtime, and by optionally updating the firmware on your RealSense device.

Update the Visual C++ 2015 Runtime

First, make sure to download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Runtime update available here. Click on the download button and select both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions:

Click the "Next" button in the lower-right corner to begin the download. Once the files have downloaded, double-click on each one to install the update.

Check for Firmware Updates
