Problem:
I have calibrated LUMOplay to use the Orbbec Astra, but the camera feed is blank or frozen
What's causing the problem:
USB extension cables can cause problems with the Orbbec Astra if they are unpowered; the longer cable results in a signal loss, which the driver interprets as the hardware being frozen.
Solution:
Use a USB extension that has an external power source, or a powered USB hub instead. Whenever possible we advise connecting the Astra directly to the PC without using an extension cable.
