Orbbec Astra Showing Data from Kinect 360

Problem:

I have calibrated LUMOplay to use the Orbbec Astra, but when I do the masking step I see the data from my Kinect for Xbox 360 instead

 

What's causing the problem:

The Orbbec Astra and the Kinect for Xbox 360 use some of the same underlying technology.  If you have both devices connected to your computer simultaneously there is a chance that the Astra SDK can treat your Kinect as an additional Astra.

 

Solution:

Disconnect the Kinect for Xbox 360
