Publishing fees
Private app or app with proprietary graphics, art, logos, or content unsuitable for publishing to the public app library.
Publishing fee: $600
Includes evaluation, testing, supporting content (thumbnail, description, filters) and up to 3 updates within 5 business days.
Update fee: $50
Publish an updated version of the original app in the LUMOplay account of the developer. Cannot be used to overwrite an existing app with a different app.
Transfer fee: $80
Publish a copy of the app to another LUMOplay account. Requires that the account have a paid LUMOplay subscription at the time of the transfer.
Public app (on approval - see requirements): free on written consent for redistribution and completion of required marketing materials.
Publishing fee: free
Includes evaluation, testing, supporting content (thumbnail, description, filters) and up to 3 updates within 5 business days.
Update fee: $50
Transfer fee: N/A
Terms
Whether private or public, submitted app must include written consent to publish and acknowledgement that the publishing party has permission to use any and all intellectual property in the app. Use of the LUMOplay SDK is covered under LUMO Interactive's general Terms of Service.
Applicable fees must be paid prior to the app becoming available.
LUMOplay reserves the right to request and modify project files related to public submissions.
Public apps may be unpublished at any time without notice in response to a copyright violation report or for any other reason.
Requirements for public app publishing
- Not for profits, artists, teachers, and schools may opt to create and publish apps that are made available through LUMOplay's public app library in exchange for waiving publishing fees. Apps must meet the following requirements to qualify:
- All assets, including video, audio, and graphic elements, must be the legal property of the creator.
- The app cannot contain branding, intellectual property, or information specific to an individual or organization, including but not limited to sports teams, businesses, or clubs.
- The app cannot contain political content, hate speech, images or messages promoting violence, or adult content.
- The app cannot contain photos of people.
- The app must meet a minimum quality standard as determined by LUMOplay's evaluation team.
- The app must be designed for one of the LUMOplay standard setups, and must not require custom hardware or installation.
