LUMOplay has support for BrightLogic's Touch Controller Pro and limited support for older BrightLogic controllers (NDI and XML).
This feature is new and has not been tested on many LED systems (and we can't afford one for our lab), so if you plan to use this feature please contact us and let us know in advance so we can help you long before your installation goes live to avoid any last minute complications.
Step 1: Open the Preferences window
Step 2: Open the Advanced menu
Step 3: Choose a network source
Newer BrightLogic controllers use the NDI protocol. Older controllers use XML. If you're not sure which protocol to use, contact your BrightLogic representative.
Usually the default port is correct, but if you are using a different port make sure you set it on this page.
Step 4: Unlock apps from monitor bounds
This step allows you to resize apps to the custom aspect ratio of your LED display.
Click 'Done' after this step and return to the main screen.
Step 5: Calibrate your display
Open the main calibration tools from the dropdown menu and select your display. The choice you make on this screen will filter apps for your display type. Floor and Wall Ball are the most common options.
Step 6: Set your display location and aspect ratio.
This is the trickiest part. Depending on how your system is set up and whether you have a second monitor attached, you may need to set negative x and y coordinates. You must know the exact pixel resolution and aspect ratio of your LED display before you can complete this step.
Step 7: Select your network source
This is the feed delivered by the BrightLogic Touch Controller Pro.
Once you've selected this source and click 'Next', you will be able to launch any LUMOplay app.
Our apps are designed for 16:9 - 16:10 aspect ratios and may not look right if your aspect ratio is different. You can use the Motion Maker design tools our the LUMOplay Unity SDK to make apps for your custom resolution and aspect ratio. More info about making custom apps...
