Depth camera troubleshooting
AnsweredHi all, I'm trying to get LumoPlay working with an Orbbec Femto Bolt camera. In the calibration menu, I've gone to Wall Ball - Choose your camera (Orbbec Femto) and then select by Colour/Distance. The colour image is there, but in Distance menu, there's a symbol of a camera crossed out. I've confirmed that I can receive depth data by opening TouchDesigner and using the camera for skeleton tracking, restarted the computer to confirm nothing else is calling the camera, and trying again.
I've also tried setting up Balloon Pop and throwing objects at the flat surface the camera is pointing at in case I'm misunderstanding the cam crossed out symbol, but it appears that I'm not getting depth info into LumoPlay. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Conor,
The Orbbec Femto is not a supported camera and can only be used for custom projects where the camera's SDK is incorporated into a custom app. We only do this when an app requires Femto features (like skeletal tracking). If you plan to hire a development team or use LUMOplay's SDK to create an app which leverages the Femto's features, please reach out through our contact form to discuss costs.
Otherwise, please use one of our supported cameras: https://help.lumoplay.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012200513-Supported-cameras-sensors

Hi Meg,
Copy that, thanks for the reply. Am I right in saying that the Orbbec Astra Mini is also unsupported?
All the best,Conor

The Astra Mini is an OEM dev kit device, and is essentially the Astra Orbbec 1, I believe. It's not recommended because it's not really meant for a commercial installation, and it's pretty exposed so it's easily damaged, but I think it will work. Just double check that it's the same SDK and components as the Astra 1 - you should ask Orbbec directly.
