Rehab Game
AnsweredHi,
we work with Elderly and Handicap Care.
Many games are very nice to use in those environments, but we have a couple of improvement and new game suggestions.
A/ Improvement:
- is it possible to have different levels on the games (like beginner-middle-advanced) so that we can adapt to the audiences.
some games are really fast from scratch and thus difficult to play for those people (Ballerina, Memory games with timer, wall games, etc..)
- is it possible to have a timer but not for limiting the time (decreasing timer) like it is often the case, especially in many memory games, but on the contrary showing the time you need to finish the game (it is an incentive for patients, but then not a frustration if they cannot make it in the required time) . This would be great for all memory and puzzle games for instance.
- is it possible to have more memory games (if you could duplicate the existing ones, but with different image pairs) or can we edit them in motion maker ? (i must admit that I didn't check)
- Can we have a game where the surface is divided in two parts. On the first half, people have to touch one moving object(not too far away) and once touched stay on this object (which then doesn't move anymore) with their hand/finger while they are collecting/touching several moving elements (with the other hand on the other half of the screen/projection.) Elements disappear once touched until you collected all moving elements on the screen.
ideally one should have this with the reverse mode (the other side is static)
There could be three levels (from slow with small number of elements to catch to fast with more elements moving faster)
This is interesting for rehab and brain coordination
- A simple similar to CIRCLE STRIKE where shapes appear and move and the goal is to touch those shapes.
But we could then offer an increase in complexity like:
First level: only balls (most are in blue, some in red color) and player has to touch the BLUE ones only
Second level: same idea but with BIG and Small balls, player has to touch only the Blue big ones
Third level: Squares, triangle, balls and player has to touch the squares
Fourth level : same but with different colors and player has to touch the shape with the requested color
etc...
If possible we could have one game made only with the easy tasks, and then the same game but in more difficult versions (so you could have three variations of the same pack of games slow, mid, fast)

Hi Marc,
This is a long list! While we'd love to make all of them, we're limited in the resources and time that we have to create custom content for free.
I think the most useful thing for you would be for us to add a memory game template to the Motion Maker tools. Please leave a request for that here to get it into our roadmap:
https://help.lumoplay.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/1500000082161-How-to-Request-a-Template
For the other games, I recommend choosing just 2 that will help your patients and that you can provide graphics for and re-submit them as two separate game requests in the forum. When those are done, we can take more requests from you.
