The maximum area that you can cover is around 17 ft x 15 ft (5 m x 4.5 m) with the sensor mounted 19.5 ft (6 m) above the projection surface.
Kinect for Xbox One
The maximum area that you can cover is around 19 ft x 16 ft (5.8 m x 4.8 m) with the sensor mounted 15 ft (4.5 m) above the projection surface.
Web Cameras
Web Cameras are more flexible for distance, but they do not track as well and are not recommended for floor installations.
